Hello humans — and not.
Please allow me to introduce myself.
Since 2015, I’ve been the Co-Founder, Chief Marketing Officer, and Creative Director of ITSPmagazine — a modern, innovative multi-media platform Broadcasting Ideas and Connecting Minds. It’s a global space where intellectual exchange is encouraged, and where we explore the relationship between technology, cybersecurity, and society through meaningful conversations and storytelling. From on-location event coverage to podcast interviews, thought leadership panels, webinars, and written editorials, we bring a journalistic and expert lens to the conversations shaping our future.
At the core, we explore a simple but pressing question: How are technology and cybersecurity reshaping the way we live, work, and define ourselves — both individually and collectively?
I hold a Master’s degree in Political Science, with a specialization in Sociology of Communication, from the University of Florence (Cesare Alfieri), along with a post-laurea specialization in Advertising and Communication. My professional path began in advertising in the mid-1990s and has taken me from traditional (pure analog) to contemporary branding (digital-analog hybrid), creative strategy, and content marketing consulting for individuals and companies across a wide range of industries and geographies.
With my Redefining Society and Technology podcast, the goal is to educate a large and diverse audience through conversations that invite reflection on the evolving relationship between technology, cybersecurity, and humanity. Because if there’s ever been a time to rethink what society really means in this new technological age… it’s now.
I continue to work as a branding and communication advisor — helping businesses and individuals clarify who they are and how they communicate with purpose.
I’m also available for ongoing consulting and advisory board roles — particularly where brand, messaging, creative direction, and ethical communication are part of a strategic vision for innovation and growth.

*I work in both English and Italian, remotely or in person — and I split my time between Los Angeles and Florence, though I’m often found Around The Globe, wherever clients, creative collaborations, and event coverage bring me.
On a more personal creative note, I write and produce Storie Sotto le Stelle, a collaborative project with my mother — now a passionate writer — where we bring short, magical children’s stories to life in both written and audio formats, in Italian and English. It’s a family journey and a reminder that creativity, when shared, connects generations.

Redefining Society And Technology Podcast
Musing On Society, Technology, and Cybersecurity
Hosted by Marco Ciappelli
Let’s face it: the future is now. We live in a hybrid analog-digital society, and it’s time to stop ignoring the profound impact technology has on our lives.
The line between the physical and virtual worlds? It’s no longer real — just a figment of our imagination. We’re constantly juggling convenience, privacy, freedom, security, and even the future of humanity in a precarious balancing act.
There’s no better place than here, and no better time than now, to reflect on our relationship with technology — and redefine what society means in this new age.

“Musing On Society & Technology”
Let's face it: the future is now. We are living in a Hybrid Analog Digital Society, and we all need to reflect on it. This is exactly what I do as I exchange some opinions with TAPE3 (*ITSPmagazine’s AI Assistant & Guide) and then I turn my thoughts into articles. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I love musing and writing on these subjects.
Here are some of the latest…

The Hybrid Species — When Technology Becomes Human, and Humans Become Technology
We once built tools to serve us. Now we build them to complete us. If today’s machines can already mimic understanding — convincing us they comprehend more than they do — what happens when the line between biology and technology dissolves completely? When carbon and silicon, organic and artificial, don’t just co-exist, but merge? We like to think of evolution as something that happens slowly, hidden in the spiral of DNA, whispered across generations. But what if the next mutation doesn’t come from biology at all? What if it comes from what we build?

Robbie, From Fiction to Familiar — Robots, AI, and the Illusion of Consciousness
I recently revisited one of my oldest companions. Not a person, not a memory, but a story. Robbie, the first of Isaac Asimov’s famous robot tales. It’s strange how familiar words can feel different over time. Reading Asimov was a window into possibilities, but they remained possibilities. Today, the story feels different. I listened to it this time—the way I often experience books now—through headphones, narrated by a synthetic voice on a sleek device Asimov might have imagined, but certainly never held. And yet, it wasn’t the method of delivery that made the story resonate more deeply; it was the world we live in now.

What Hump? Thirty Years of Cybersecurity and the Fine Art of Pretending It’s Not a Human Problem
A Post-Infosecurity Europe Reflection on the Strange but Predictable Ways We’ve Spent Thirty Years Pretending Cybersecurity Isn’t About People. We’ve built incredible tools. We’ve formed global communities of defenders. We’ve turned “hacker” from rebel to professional job title — with a 401(k), branded hoodies, and a sponsorship deal. But we’ve also built an industry that — much like poor Igor — refuses to admit something’s wrong. The hump is right there. You can see it. Everyone can see it. And yet… we smile and say: “What hump?”

From Cassette Tapes and Phrasebooks to AI Real-Time Translations — Machines Can Now Speak for Us, But We’re Losing the Art of Understanding Each Other
There’s this thing I’ve dreamed about since I was a kid. No, it wasn’t flying cars. Or robot butlers (although I wouldn’t mind one to fold the laundry). It was this: having a real conversation with someone — anyone — in their own language, and actually understanding each other. And now… here we are. Google just rolled out live AI-powered translation in Google Meet, starting with Spanish. I watched the demo video, and for a moment, I felt like I was 16 again, staring at the future with wide eyes and messy hair. It worked. It was seamless. Flawless. Magical. And then — drumroll, please — it sucked! Like… really, existentially, beautifully sucked. Let me explain.
